Basketball Wives Royce Reed Files Motion Against Custody Judge Citing Bias
Added by LetsTlk on March 20, 2012.

Ok, ok, Royce Reed isn’t exactly a basketball wife but who’s keep tracking of that kind of thing anymore? Apparently, a Florida judge, who the Basketball Wives star has accused of impropriety in presiding over her custody battle with the father of her child Dwight Howard.

Reed claims that Judge Tim Shea has a particular problem with women who have children out of wedlock with NBA players and has filed a motion to have him removed from the case.

Dwight Howard, who plays for the Orlando Magic, claims that Reed has not been living up to her end of their visitation agreement, and began proceedings last month to challenge her primary custody status. Reed claims that the judge said that he would grant Howard custody before any evidence had even been presented, but delayed his ruling.

In response, Reed filed a motion asking that Judge Shea be removed, citing his bias against single mothers and his close political ties with Howard’s lawyer. She also believes that Dwight Howard’s local celebrity is preventing her from receiving a fair trail in Orlando, stating in the motion “I am afraid if Judge Shea continues to preside over this case, I will lose custody of my son.”

Howard has been open about his distaste for his son’s exposure to the reality television life and has brought Reed to court in the past for violating their agreement to never show pictures or video of the child to the public – this is why Basketball Wives viewers have never seen or heard about either Dwight Howard or his child.

But in spite of her past shady behavior, could this judge really have a ‘baby mama bias’?

Nicki Minaj became the first female to grace FORBES’ Hip-Hop Cash Kings last year, pulling in $6.5 million, enough to land the No. 15 spot on the annual accounting of rap’s top earners. Expect her bulging bank account to grow even more in 2012 following a massive deal she recently signed with Pepsi.

According to Derek Jackson, the Glu agency chief who brokered the agreement, Minaj will become the face of a new Pepsi beverage nearing its debut. He said the pact, which includes a commercial filmed in South America last month (pixely footage has already leaked on YouTube), is a multimillion-dollar deal.

“You’ll see the commercial probably in the next two months,” Jackson told me before Lil Wayne’s performance at South By Southwest. “That’ll be a segue into a new beverage Pepsi has, called ‘Pop,’ and she’ll be the face of the brand … it’s going to be explosive.” via Forbes

Kim Zolciak pregnant again
1:37 pm March 20, 2012, by Rodney Ho

Kroy Biermann, 26, and Kim Zolciak, 33, are now married with a son and a second child on the way. CREDIT: AP

“Real Housewives of Atlanta” cast member Kim Zolciak fed Life & Style magazine her latest achievement: a second baby with Atlanta Falcons defensive end Kroy Biermann is forthcoming.

She told the magazine her current nine-month-old son KJ was an accident but this second child was totally planned. Zolciak, 33, is now four months pregnant and based on the photo Life & Style provided, she is showing. (Biermann is 26.)

She has two girls from a previous relationship – Ariana, 9, and Brielle, 14.

Bravo is about to wrap the fourth season of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” which has shown signs of viewer fatigue. Ratings have been lagging significantly behind last season year over year the past few weeks. Not that it’s dying by any means. The show still drew 2.5 million viewers this past Sunday and is averaging about 2.8 million season three, remaining the most popular of any “Housewives” franchise. (In comparison, AMC’s season finale of ‘The Walking Dead” at the same time brought in 9 million viewers.)

On the show this season, Zolciak has been increasingly disengaged from the focal plot twists. She had her baby KJ while the show was taping and as a result, skipped out on a trip to South Africa. Nonetheless, she does appear happier since Biermann showed up in her life in May of 2010 compared to when she was battling with “Big Poppa.”

If you want more details on Kim's pregnancy, read it in Life & Style magazine starting tomorrow on newsstands.

Her life for the past two years has been chronicled consistently by Life & Style magazine. She feeds the magazine scoops for what is presumed to be a nice chunk of change. She told them exclusively about her lesbian relationship, gave them photos of her pregnancy with KJ, then photos of the baby and the marriage.

In all likelihood, this is her final season on “Real Housewives.” She has a new spinoff show “Don’t Be Tardy for the Wedding” focused on her and Biermann which debuts April 26. Bravo taped the show last fall when the couple got married right after finishing with “Real Housewives.”

"Rhythm of the Night" singer El DeBarge was arrested for drug possession in L.A. yesterday ... and cops believe El may have been trying to deal the junk.

El was popped around 2 PM in Encino, CA ... after LAPD officers observed him participating in what appeared to be a drug deal with another man near the 101 Freeway.

DeBarge was arrested for possession of narcotics with intent to sell. It's the 3rd time El has been arrested for drug possession since 2001.

He was hauled to a nearby jail where he was booked and released on $30k bail. El is due back in court next month.

Fun Fact -- El's brother James is currently serving time behind bars after being arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and drug charges.

The NFL came down hard on the New Orleans Saints on Wednesday.

Saints coach Sean Payton has been suspended for one year, former defensive coordinator Gregg Williams was suspended indefinitely, general manager Mickey Loomis was suspended for the first eight regular-season games, the team was fined $500,000 and lost two second-round draft picks (one in 2012 and '13) as a result of a bounty program conducted by the team during the 2009-11 seasons that targeted opposing players.

Saints assistant coach Joe Vitt also was suspended six games and fined $100,000. The NFL said in its statement that the suspensions for Payton, Loomis and Vitt are without pay.

Payton's suspension is effective April 1. Commissioner Roger Goodell will meet with Williams after the 2012 season and determine the coach's status.

"We are all accountable and responsible for player health and safety and the integrity of the game," Goodell said in a statement announcing the punishments. "We will not tolerate conduct or a culture that undermines those priorities. No one is above the game or the rules that govern it. Respect for the game and the people who participate in it will not be compromised.

"A combination of elements made this matter particularly unusual and egregious," Goodell said. "When there is targeting of players for injury and cash rewards over a three-year period, the involvement of the coaching staff, and three years of denials and willful disrespect of the rules, a strong and lasting message must be sent that such conduct is totally unacceptable and has no place in the game."

The Saints now must decide who will coach the team while Payton is barred and who will make roster moves while Loomis is out.

Punishment for any Saints players involved will be determined later, because the league is still reviewing the case with the NFL Players Association.

Details of an NFL investigation released at the beginning on March reported that the Saints' bounty program gave thousands of dollars in payoffs to players for hits that knocked targeted opponents out of games. The NFL said the amounts reached their height in 2009, the season the Saints won the Super Bowl.

Williams, now defensive coordinator of the Rams, has admitted to and apologized for running the program.

Payton and Loomis apologized and took the blame for violations that "happened under our watch," but not until almost a week after the NFL pointed to them for failing to stop the program.

The NFL said payoffs went to 22 to 27 defensive players for inflicting game-ending injuries on targeted opponents, including quarterbacks Brett Favre and Kurt Warner. "Knockouts" were worth $1,500 and "cart-offs" $1,000, with payments doubled or tripled for the playoffs.

All payouts for specific performances in a game, including interceptions or causing fumbles, are against NFL rules. The NFL warns teams against such practices before each season, although in the aftermath of the revelations about the Saints, current and former players from various teams talked about that sort of thing happening frequently -- although not on the same scale as the NFL found in New Orleans.

Goodell has frequently taken a hard line on any action that threatens player safety. He suspended Detroit's Ndamukong Suh for two games for stomping on an opponent last season; banned Pittsburgh's James Harrison for one game after a series of flagrant hits that culminated in a collision with Cleveland quarterback Colt McCoy's helmet; and has ramped up the amount of fines for what the league terms "egregious hits."

The Saints' punishment dwarfs the penalty given to the New England Patriots for the 2007 Spygate scandal.

Goodell fined the Patriots $250,000 and their coach, Bill Belichick, $500,000, when the team was caught illegally videotaping the Jets' sideline. New England also was stripped of a first-round draft pick.

Information from The Associated Press was used in this report.

The Lord works in mysterious ways ... 'cause Tim Tebow has just been traded from the Denver Broncos to the New York Jets ... this according to FOX NFL insider Jay Glazer.

According to Jay ... the Jets had to give up a 4th round draft pick and a 6th-round pick in exchange for the former Heisman Trophy winner ... and got an additional 7th round pick in return.

The Jets already have a starting quarterback in Mark Sanchez ... but if Sanchez chokes again ... like he did last season ... Tebow could be in a good position to take over the #1 spot.

So Royce is a baby moma? Okay it makes more sense why she is on BBW now and why the wives have a problem with her.

VH1 orders series about Hollywood ex-wives

NEW YORK (AP) — Hollywood ex-wives surely have stories to tell, and now five of them will have their own TV series.

VH1 said Wednesday that it is making "Hollywood Exes," a one-hour series that will air this summer. Featured players are the ex-wives of Eddie Murphy, Prince, R. Kelly, Will Smith and Jose Canseco.

The network said that Nicole Murphy, Jessica Canseco, Andrea Kelly, Sheree Fletcher (Smith's ex) and Mayte Garcia (Prince's ex) "want to show the world that they are more than just a trophy wife with a pretty face."

The 10-episode series will follow the women as they establish their own lives apart from their famous exes.

Post Oscar winner Octavia Spencer honored by hometown Reply with quote
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) — Oscar-winning actress Octavia Spencer is being honored at the Alabama Statehouse, where about 400 people turned out to welcome her.

Spencer won this year's best supporting actress Oscar for her performance as a maid in "The Help."

She rode up to the Statehouse in a pink limousine for the Wednesday ceremony. As she stepped out, she was serenaded by the band from her alma mater, Jefferson Davis High School.

A Montgomery native, Spencer told the crowd that she would do whatever she could to see that more movies are made in Alabama. She also cautioned young people in the audience to think twice before heading to Hollywood to become a movie star.

Spencer was then honored by a joint session of the Legislature.

Post R. Kelly brings back 'Trapped' series Reply with quote
NEW YORK (AP) — Get ready for more drama from Sylvester, Twan and Pimp Lucius — R. Kelly is delivering more chapters of "Trapped in the Closet."

The outrageous musical series started off as five videos for the R&B singer's dramatic cliffhanger songs in 2007. It quickly became a cult classic, and he added more chapters, put the accompanying videos on a DVD and also teamed up with IFC to premiere it.

For the next chapters, Kelly is teaming up with IFC again. He said in a statement Wednesday: "The Alien is back and It has brought friends along."

He also called the series "not of this Earth."

Kelly has a new album due soon as well as a memoir due out in June.

It's unclear when the new "Trapped" chapters will debut.

WIFE SEEKS A.I.'s SEX STATS

Daily News Staff Writer

In happier times, Tawanna and Allen Iverson after the Sixers won the NBA Eastern Conference final in 2001, before losing the NBA final to the Lakers.

1 of 5

Iverson's wife says she wants to split because of his cheating

FROM WHERE TAWANNA Iverson stands, her soon-to-be ex, former 76ers superstar Allen Iverson, may have had too much "practice" outside their bedroom.
The Mrs. filed court papers earlier this month in Atlanta asking Iverson to ID each gal pal he's hooked up with since the start of their 2001 marriage, as well as to give their numbers to the court.

The Answer must "give the name and telephone number of every person other than your spouse whom you have had sexual relations and/or intimate physical contact from the date of the marriage to the date of trial," according to papers filed March 7 in Fulton County Family Court.
Only A.I. litigation could get this steamy.
"Such sexual relations and/or intimate physical contact include, without limitation, sexual intercourse, and/or touching or being touched in a manner for sexual arousal," the papers say.
Tawanna Iverson's attorney, John C. Mayoue, in Atlanta declined to comment to the Daily News about the filing.
Calls to the former MVP's legal eagle, Jonathan R. Levine, were not returned yesterday.

Tawanna Iverson may have gone this route to push for a settlement, said Atlanta-based lawyer Eileen J. Shuman, whose firm specializes in family law. But she has to be careful because of Georgia divorce laws, Shuman added.
"If Allen Iverson had 150 women and Tawanna Iverson knew about it, but she forgave him and they went to counseling," the legal term for this is "condonation," Shuman said. "She can't go to the court later and complain about the 150 women. She has condoned the behavior."
The bottom line are the children, Shuman said: Tiaura, 17; Allen II, 14; Isaiah, 8; Messiah, 6, and Dream, 3.

And the judge presiding over the case, Bensonetta Tipton Lane, is a child-advocate and is "not going to be swayed by outside stuff," Shuman said.
Mrs. Iverson was humming a different tune last June when she filed for divorce, seeking sole custody of the couple's five children. The "irretrievably broken" marriage, she told the website TMZ back then, "had nothing to do with another woman."

Can't blame a woman for changing her mind. Especially after her estranged hubby - her high school sweetheart - started spending like Allen Iverson the minute she filed for divorce. The former Tawanna Turner, 36, claimed in a December court filing that A.I., also 36, stopped depositing money in their joint account and started withdrawing large amounts to buy bling.
She said she couldn't pay the bills or provide for the kids, TMZ reported then. Tawanna Iverson claimed that A.I. didn't help out of spite, the website said.
A.I.'s troubles - and therefore her troubles - didn't end there. A Georgia judge froze his Wells Fargo bank account in January because Iverson ignored a lawsuit filed against him by a jeweler. The unidentified judge signed an order allowing Aydin & Co. to recoup its losses and attorney fees from the bank account, totaling close to $860,000, TMZ reported. It is unclear how much money was in the account.

This month's court filing is the latest development in a storied, if controversial, athlete's life.
In May 2002, an indignant Iverson famously said the word "practice" at least 20 times during a news conference responding to questions about his missing team practices.
But no one questioned whether he showed up for games. The 6-foot guard won the NBA scoring title four times, and his regular-season career scoring average of 26.7 points per game ranks him sixth in league history.
It's unknown how much remains of the $200 million to $250 million he earned on and off the basketball court.
The New York Post reported earlier this month that A.I. has $32 million and can't touch it till he's 55. He does, in the meantime, get to collect $1 million annually.
And in less than 10 years, at age 45, A.I. starts to collect an $8,000-a-month NBA pension, the Post reported.
Just enough for a modest Tiffany's ring and some appetizers at TGI Friday's or Houlihan's.

March 13, 2012: Well . . .there may be yet ANOTHER obstacle in the way of Diddy and Cassie living happily ever after. Word traveling around Los Angeles is that Kim Porter, who is now 43 years old, is pregnant.

It's not clear who the child's father is, assuming she's pregnant, but we'd venture to GUESS who it could be.

Kim ain't playing . . . she's making sure she's gonna retire PROPERLY!!!

Ray J is adamant ... he is NOT secretly harboring a stash of sexually explicit photos and video, depicting him and
Whitney Houston in the throes of passion -- because no such stash exists.

There have been reports ... Ray is sitting on a hoard of sex tapes and XXX photos -- holding them over the Houston family as ransom -- because he knows they're worth a pretty penny.

But Ray J's rep tells TMZ, "The despicable tabloid report released today claiming the existence of a sex tape between Ray J and Whitney Houston is not true ... There is no sex tape."

Sources extremely close to Ray J tell us the singer insists he NEVER took sexually explicit pics of Whitney ... or recorded ANY of their intimate encounters.
