I've bought martial arts supplies and uniforms online, and I never had any problems. I just bought a book from Amazon, too... oh yeah... I bought my E.S. Posthumus CD online (from their website), because their album isn't in any stores.

I'm an avid on-line shopper. I have found that if you don't have to have it right away, your savings can really add up. Especially concerning electronics. I have bought over $6,000 worth of gadgets for under $1,500 With respect to Ebay, I bought my car from the on-line auction.

I buy stuff occassionally online. I tend to find better deals locally for the majority of my life needs in the real world, but there are certain items I need for my consulting business that I get a much better deal off the net.

did you get a good deal???

For the record, I've found some obscure things that I would have NEVER found online like BOXING FIGHTS that will NEVER be rebroadcasted to other things.

Hm, this week I'll be forking down on my first porn purchase of

I shop online all the time. I buy CD's and movies. I've ordered clothes and all kinds of things. I never have any problem at all. Although I've never bought anything off of ebay. Most of the sites I go to are like JCPenny's etc.

I buy all the time. I buy used books, used CDs, shoes (a necessity because most stores don't carry my size), electronic equipment, items for my car, etc. I sell online too, so I get most of the $$$ back. Razz

I would say that the internet has enhanced my life in ways that I would'nt have imagined, and this is coming from a person who disliked the internet when it first became popular in the mid-90's.

Damn dude. Was the seller in your area??

I saw a mustang I wanted last year (my dream car. It's a '69) but I couldn't get it and it was below what I've researched it to cost.

The funny thing is now I'm debating between a 'Stang or a GTO '70. You're too young to know about those though, lol.

I buy online all the time. Now that I have a Paypal ATM/Visa Checkcard I can purchase things securely via my paypal account so when I empty it I don't have to worry about it being tapped into.

Marz,

I was fortunate enough to find someone who lived 30 miles from where I reside. I happened to be on-line and did the B.I.N. "Buy it Now!" thing. That eliminated the bidding process and saved me the stress of haggling. Now, to reiterate what I said earlier, "It works great if you don't have to have it RIGHT now" The guy who was selling the car had to get the pink slip from the bank of which he used the money that I had given him. All in all it took maybe three weeks. But trust me, it was well worth it. Not only do I NOT have a note, I have vehicle that's just as current today as anything out there on the road.

What you have to factor in is, If I find a car on-line and it's out-of-state, how much is the shipping going to cost and what does the car REALLY look like. If they're local, you have the advantage of going to see the car. Also, make sure you do a background check using a service called CARFAX *similar to a credit check* on the car to make sure it's not a salvage or has had umpteenth owners. I did that and was pleased to find out that the seller was the original owner.

Marz,

You're right, it's not 100% guaranteed that all accidents will be reported. However, use it as a benchmark and if the seller is reputable, he/she will allow you to go and have the car inspected prior to selling it. I suggest the buyer use a licensed mechanics, preferably one that specializes in the type of vehicle you're considering

If you take your vehicle to a reputable auto body repair shop, they will report your repair to the Carfax system with your VIN #. Now, if you use Bubba & Nem's Shadetree Mechanic Shop, the information wouldn't be in Carfax.

I buy mostly electronic, computer parts and maybe the hard to find book or cd online. For the most part, I still enjoy going out and being in the stores to touch things.

I read somewhere that it's considered safer to purchase online via your creditcard than using it in the store.

It crosses more hands when it's done manually and more open to be picked up.

Although it took me a long time to feel comfortable or safe shopping online, I love to do online shopping now. I place orders all the time. It saves me time, saves walking around to different stores, standing in lines, and I don't have to haul the goods home. I like having things delivered to my door.

The main thing about it for me is the convenience. But if I can catch a deal, I love it even more.

Hint: Whenever you place an online order, just before checkout, remember do a search and see if there are any coupon deals or promotional codes for that store. Open another window and type in "coupons store name". You might end up getting a few dollars off your purchase.

Also, try and catch your favorite store when they're having a "free shipping" promotion.

OH, one more thing: After-Christmas sales are da bomb! Merchants are practically giving that stuff away, trying to get rid of excess inventory. hee hee

I love those Free Shipping Specials. Around the holidays a lot of sites offer that. Toys R Us is one of them I cleaned up last year.

As a merchant, I get a lot of visits and sales thru my online store. I also buy online a lot. Old Navy, TCP, Kenwood, tickets for concerts, Toys R Us, and more. I like shopping online.

I saw a car I wanted myself, but I couldn't bring myself to buying that online just b/c of the "what if i get stuck" factor. Anywho, I do want to sell one of my cars. A VW Golf 1994 not sure though, but we shall see.

Once again on-line shopping is for me and Liyah, you are right baout the Free shipping deals Very Happy
